Here are five of six canvases that were started on April 2, 2011. The amount of time spent on these beginnings is less that 30 seconds each. Thirty seconds can be a lifetime for some elements of nature. Here, thirty seconds is an investment in future imagery.

Yellow ochre is the foundation-fundamental color for these canvases. The paintings will growwithin an earth toned range. There will several weeks of looking before the next application of paint, another thirty second burst. It is not about time, it is about nature.
